March photos

It's a baseball bat, not a hammer. 😁

Michael and Clare hit Drayton Harbor Oyster Company for lunch on a sunny day.

Xander was chosen to play in the 2023 Whatcom County Senior Classic!

It was so fun to watch him play with kids he's played against for years. He had the second-most points of anyone in the game and SIX 3s!

Being interviewed by Whatcom Hoops after the game.

Xander and Bennett.

His photo appeared in the Cascadia Daily News write-up.

In Portland, getting ready for a day of Portland State University events. Time for X to decide which college he wants to go to!

Too cool for school, this one.

Already knows what to do on a sunny day on a college campus.

Clare, too!

We had the *best* dinner at a little Italian joint.

Drove by the old Olympia house on our way home. None of us approve of this new color scheme. ;)

One of our old Olympia haunts.

Also stopped and saw Kate, Jessica and Henry on our drive home from Portland. Got to try some yummy Japanese candy!

This crazy kid camped out overnight with 10 friends to win a year of free bagels from the new Panera that opened up in town.

Xander made the Top 30 list of Whatcom County basketball players! A huge honor, especially considering how many amazing local players went to and won at state this year.

All suited up and ready to watch the Iowa Iowa Hawkeyes Women's Basketball team play in Seattle as part of NCAA March Madness!

Off they go!

And back home, with a new t-shirt, after the big win.

Trying on Xander's Iowa hats for the next day's Hawkeye basketball game in Seattle — no way I was missing this one!

Checking out records at KEXP before the arena opened for the game.

Also stopped at Dick's for sustenance.

In our seats!

Made it onto the big screen.

What a win! I've never had so much fun at a sporting event.

Caitlin Clark!

What a legend.

The boys heading out for their 13th Mariners Opening Day together.

Our brother-in-law (to be) Frank was in town all the way from Nebraska and was at the game with some of his grad students!
